BOULDER, Colo. (July, 2010) – Descente and coldblack®
sponsored athlete, Paul Ambrose took first place in the 20th Annual
Independence Day Triathlon in Coconut Creek, Florida. Hailing from
Australia, 26 year‐old Ambrose is a rising star in professional
triathlon and races events worldwide. The spectator friendly course
consisted of a ¼‐mile lake swim, 9.8‐mile bike course and a 3‐mile run
through Tradewinds Park. Ambrose’s times were as follows: swim ‐ 5:11,
transition 1 ‐ 00::29, bike – 22:24, transition 2 – 00:39, run – 17:00,
with an overall time of 45:43.55 making him first place finisher over

Descente at the Vancouver Olympics: Legends Evolved
For Descente, the legend was born in 1979, with the explosive debut of the “Magic Suit”. Never in the long history of skiing had a suit contributed to lowering race times, and such was its impact on World Cup Men’s Downhill results that year, it became
axiomatic in the ski racing world that victory without it was impossible. Thirty years later the legend lives on, in the exciting new sportswear concepts produced by Descente’s never-ending quest for perfection.
